Unstaking Timeline
How the cooldown actually works

X1 (and Solana) limit total network stake deactivation to 25% of currently active stake per epoch. If only a small amount is being deactivated network-wide, your stake fully cools in a single epoch — the best case.

When many people deactivate at once, that 25% capacity is split proportionally across everyone. So for an individual account, only a fraction of the cooling stake unlocks each epoch, and the full unstake stretches across multiple epochs.

The slider above lets you model what you're observing: 100% = ideal best case, 50% = roughly what users are reporting on X1 right now, 25% = heavy congestion. Once each portion has cooled, you must call withdraw to actually move the funds — they don't auto-return.

📊 Performance Score Explained

How Scoring Works

The Performance Score is a size-independent metric that evaluates operator quality over the last 7 epochs. It uses percentile rankings to spread scores and reward efficient operators regardless of stake size.

⚡ Vote Efficiency 30%
Measures how many epoch credits the validator earns compared to the network average. A validator earning 105% of average credits is performing better than one earning 95%. This is size-independent since credits are roughly equal for all active validators.

⏱️ Skip Rate 25%
Measures the percentage of assigned leader slots where the validator failed to produce a block. Lower is better.

🔄 Consistency 20%
Measures how stable the validator's epoch credit earnings are over the last 7 epochs using Coefficient of Variation. Consistent validators are more predictable and reliable.

💰 Commission 5%
The validator's commission rate directly affects delegator returns. Lower commission = more rewards for delegators.

📅 Longevity 5%
How long the validator has been active on the network. Established validators with a proven track record are generally more reliable than newer ones.

💻 Software Version 5%
Whether the validator is running the latest software version. Staying updated ensures compatibility, security patches, and network improvements.

🎖️ Reliability 10%
Measures operational reliability through uptime history and consistent performance. Uptime is tracked over time for more accurate historical measurement.
